- Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation that works well for most skin types, especially if you're addressing dullness, uneven texture, enlarged pores, or mild discoloration. It's generally not recommended during active acne flares, rosacea, or sunburn. Your provider will assess your skin at the visit and adjust intensity, or recommend Basic Facial Cleansing alone if your skin needs a gentler session.
- Basic Facial Cleansing has no downtime. You can apply makeup and return to normal activities immediately. After microdermabrasion, mild redness or warmth for a few hours is possible; use SPF 30+ and avoid actives for 24 to 48 hours. Most clients schedule facials on their lunch break or before an event.
